San Antonio

From Tyler, we headed to San Antonio. Before we left we stopped by to say goodbye and Happy Father's Day to Walt and Hope. As we were driving the back roads, Jack decided he really needed to pee! There was nowhere to stop and let him out. We were 15 minutes from Waco so we thought he'd be ok. He climbed in my lap and peed ALL OVER ME! There was seriously no place to stop until Waco so I waited patiently while sitting in dog pee. Once we arrived at a gas station, we got out to find Jack's leash. Unfortunately Jack couldn't wait. He decided to pee in my seat, Nathan's seat, the back seat, the floor board and anything that happened to be in his way between all of those places! After 45 minutes of cleaning (me and the car) we were on our way. Once we arrived in San Antonio we headed for the pool, then to eat dinner for Father's Day. Due to the all day travel and the lack of wanting to drive around even more we settled on Freebirds.

On Monday the kids and I went to Aquatica (the waterpark at Sea World) for several hours. We had a blast. I forgot to bring my water camera on the trip so I don't have any pictures. We rode lots of water rides, played in the different pools and relaxed in the lazy river. We decided the night before that we would drive up to Gruene for dinner on Monday. That day Jack was being disruptive at the hotel and Nathan and I were tired of getting calls about him so we deicided to board him before we went to Gruene. On the way up we stopped at the world's largest Bucee's! It is outrageous. It has 60 gas pumps. It is seriously impressive! That night for dinner we ate at the Gristmill. That was Nathan's official Father's Day celebration.

Tuesday we went back to Aquatica for another fun day in the sun. The kids loved it so much we never even made it over to Sea World. Each night at the hotel they had an outdoor family movie and we roasted marshmallows. This whole mini vacation was so fun (except for Jack being a total idiot!).
