Shot Day

Anna had her 4 yr check up yesterday. Yes I know I'm behind but this was the third appointment she's had for this. The first two had to be rescheduled for various reasons. She weighed 37 lbs and is 40.25 inches tall. She also got 5 SHOTS! That just seems ridiculous to give a 4 year old that many shots at once. Cole and I had to leave the room while Nathan stayed to hold her down. She's been complaining of her legs hurting so we've loaded her up with Motrin. She also took her hearing and vision test yesterday. She passed so I know she can hear me when I'm telling her to do something. Dr. Nguyen believes having her tonsils and adenoids out will help her sleeping problems tremendously. She said to give it a couple of months after the surgery and if her sleeping problems persist then she will send us for a sleep study. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, in a nutshell, she cries out in her sleep all night, every night. She has does this since she turned 2. Drives us all crazy.

Last night Cole woke up an hour after going to sleep. He was complaining of his ear hurting. I put some ear drops in and gave him some Motrin and he whimpered until he fell asleep on the couch with Nathan. This morning he came running in my room about 6:45. He slept a little while until he rolled over and I got a look at his face. His whole face was covered in dried blood. FREAKED ME OUT! Once we got in the light I could see his pj's had blood all over them and his face and hands were covered as well. Not sure what caused this. His voice is really hoarse today so I'm assuming his fan was on too high last night and it dried out his nose and throat.

So in other words, you've had a fun couple of days? :) Hope the surgery helps Anna, that's gotta be rough for everyone.

Ah, yes. The dreaded 4-year checkup. I should have warned you. We're going this week with Miss Rose. Yuck.
