Ryder Addison

One of my best girlfriends had a baby on Friday. Baby Ryder Warren Addison was born Friday morning weighing in at 7 lbs, 2 oz and a whopping 21 inches long. A couple of weeks ago Deanna had to see a specialist due to the high amount of amniotic fluid she was carrying. The doctor said the baby might possibly be born with a cleft pallet (hole in the roof of the mouth) which was causing the high amount of fluid in the amniotic sac. Thankfully there is no cleft pallet. There is, however, a problem with Ryder's lungs. Unfortunately babies born via c-section are sometimes prone to Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Basically he has a lot of fluid in his lungs that he is having a hard time getting rid of. He's going to be in the NICU for several days. Please pray that his lungs get stronger and that Deanna heals quickly. To read more about Ryder and his current condition head on over to Deanna's blog.
