Charlie the Elf

The kids are having a ball with Charlie the Elf. The first night Anna got a report of Naughty for a MAJOR tantrum but the last couple of days have been good. Cole has found Charlie the last 2 mornings. Of course he wakes up about 2 hours earlier than Anna so he has plenty of time to find him before Anna arrives on the scene. Cole thinks it's so funny when he finds Charlie. He screams "ders Char-ie, ders Char-ie" then laughs. When I ask what Charlie is doing he said "Char-ies botchin me" (Charlie's watching me). It's hysterical. Below are a couple of places Charlie has perched himself so far. Don't know how I'm going to keep this up until Christmas.

Yesterday he was found on top of the cabinets in the kitchen.

Can you spot him?

This is his spot today.

In other news... Anna had some kind of a bug while we were in MS. She kept complaining of her stomach hurting the entire time we were there. I thought it may just be from all the different food she was eating. Turns out it continued while we were home. She finally got it all out of her system on Wednesday morning in the form of throw up. She threw up several times. After that she felt 100% better and hasn't had a problem since.

Anna had her Thanksgiving feast at school yesterday. The parents were invited to watch the kids eat. Weird, I know, but I still enjoyed getting to see Anna interact with her classmates. I forgot my camera so I don't have many pictures to show. I borrowed my neighbor's camera (her daughters also go to school there) so once I get some of the pictures from her I'll share them. I can't wait to show you Anna's boyfriend, Hunter. According to Hunter's mom he talks about Anna a lot too.

Cole has been talking A LOT lately. He's a pretty funny little guy. A couple of days ago we were in the car going somewhere and I was turning a corner and he yells out "hold on tight." Anna and I got a huge kick out of that. Yesterday I lost him in Target for several minutes. He scared the heck out of me. I had the Target team members helping look for him. I was so embarrassed. Turns out he was relaxing in the rocking chair at the end of the baby section. I should have known to look there. Every time we go he has to sit in it for a second. Anyway I found him and made him sit in the cart the rest of the time we were there.

Nathan also got his first taste of how our children now act when they have to leave the toy section. I don't even take Anna to Target or Walmart anymore because it's too stressful. Yesterday afternoon we went to Toys R Us to look around. Nathan kept the kids preoccupied while I grabbed a few things. I went to the car to load everything up while Nathan stayed back with the kids. The next thing I see is Nathan coming out of Toys R Us with Cole screaming, red faced, throwing a fit and Anna stomping, screaming and jumping up and down, yelling "I don't want to go." All I could do was laugh and pretend I didn't know them.
