Easter

Several months ago our friends, Hamilton and Jenny, asked us to be Godparents to their children. This would mean we would need to travel to Oklahoma for Easter. We're always on the go and had never been to OK so we were excited to go. We went to Lindale (outside of Tyler, TX) to see Nathan's dad, Walt, and Hope on the way up. We stayed the night and the kids had so much fun staying in the country. They rode on the horse, picked lots of flowers, picked up gumballs (something Nathan and his siblings had to do growing up) and just ran wild. We had a great time!

The next morning we started the trek up to OKC. The kids were so ready to see their friends, Jasmyne and Austin. Cole and Austin immediately starting playing Wii and that's pretty much where they stayed all weekend. Anna and Jasmyne also hung out a while. Hamilton's parents, one brother and grandfather also came up for the weekend. We had a great time catching up with everyone. His parents are so sweet, his grandfather is absolutley adorable and his brother is awesome at keeping the kids in line.

On Saturday evening we attended Easter Vigil Mass which was 3 hours long! Jasmyne was being baptized, confirmed and taking her first communion. We broke a major rule of ours by letting the kids bring their DS's into church. I'm ashamed to admit it but it was either make them go to a 3 hour mass & let them have their DS's or have them not go to church on Easter at all. The kids were pretty good. Jasmyne did everything she was there to do and we are proud to be her Godparents.

Our trip home was long but not dreadful. On the way home Cole declared Austin his best friend. Nathan called Hammy to let him know we were home and he actually told Nathan Austin said Cole was his best friend. I know it's a long shot but it would be so neat if these 2 ended up roommates in college, just like their daddies were so many year ago.

Anna & Cole picked tons of Indian Paintbrushes for Memaw Hope

This guy LOVES animals.

Just relaxing

My favorite picture from the day!

Pawpaw Walt led the kids on a ride

He didn't want to get off.

They picked up half a bucket of gumballs

One last picture before we head out.

They were so happy to see each other.

They actually did go outside and practice t-ball for a little while.

Hamilton's mom and I made origami paper dolls together. I can now check that off my list of things to do in my life!
