Spring Break

Last week was spring break for the kids. It started out by going to see a movie on Monday. Then Tuesday through Thursday we went to San Antonio. Tuesday we walked around the River Walk then went to Ripley's Believe It or Not and the wax museum. Anna and Cole loved both. We hesitated taking them but I'm glad we did. Anna wanted her picture made with every wax statue. Below are some of the pictures we took.

This was as close as Cole was willing to get to this guy.

Anna was a little more willing.

HYSTERICAL!

On Wednesday I took the kids to Sea World by myself. The kids had a good time. We fed the dolphins and seals, watched a few shows and road a few rides. When we go back this summer I think I'll invest in a margarita in one of those tall cups. The place was packed and without Nathan there to help I had to answer all the kids' questions by myself and be the bad guy when I told them no to EVERYTHING they wanted! Seriously these kids act like they are so mistreated and never get anything. On Thursday we got up and headed home.

On Friday we took the kids to the rodeo and carnival. They had a blast! They rode tons of rides and Anna pinky promised me she would mutton bust next year. That's as serious as she gets so I'm fully prepared to watch her ride a sheep next year. Cole was so upset he couldn't ride this year. You have to be 5 or 6. Next year they will both be able to do it.

The kids had a hard time waking up this morning and so did I! We slept until 9:00, 10:00 and even 11:00 all week so 7:30 was way too early for us. Happy to get back in a routine. I know these last 2 months of school are going to fly by. Why is it that as a child the school year seemed to take forever yet as an adult it's over in the blink of an eye?

sounds fun! Big props for handling Sea World by yourself... that would be the same result with my kids too :)
