Soccer: Week 3

Week 3 soccer was COLD! Cole's game was at 9:00 am. When we got there I realized right away that we were not prepared for the cold weather so I dropped Nathan and Cole off and went home for blankets and pants. Cole's team praticed for about 15 minutes then started their game. He played for all of 5 minutes before he ran off the field crying because someone stepped on his ice cold hand. He said, "I just want to go home." No argument here. You could almost hear our tires screeching out of the parking lot we were out of there so fast.

Anna's game was at 11:00. Nathan stayed home with Cole because he had a snotty nose and probably shouldn't have even gone to his game in the first place. We were way better prepared for Anna's game. When Anna and I showed up people were looking at us with envy (ok so they thought we looked silly). We had blankets, hats, gloves and our big puffy jackets. They were all so jealous and we were so warm. Suckers.

Ok in all seriousness, I felt so bad for all those kids out there. They were freezing their behinds off. When they came off the field they were red from being so cold.

Happy Mardi Gras everyone. We had King Cake and we're boiling shrimp to celebrate.
