Surgery is a success

Anna successfully had her tonsils and adenoids removed this morning. She was not happy to be there. She kept saying she just wanted to go home. The nurse gave her a medicine to help calm her down and make it easier for the anesthesiologist to take her back for surgery. Unfortunately she spit out more than half of the medicine so it didn't work like it was suppose to. The doctor let me walk her as far as I could go then he had to pry her from my hands. He quickly walked to the OR while she was begging and pleading for me to get her. Talk about feeling like crap. The procedure took about 30 minutes. Her ENT doctor said she had no bleeding and she did really well. She actually woke up way better than expected. All the nurses and doctors said whatever mood she goes under in is the mood she comes out in. Lucky for us it was different.

We got home around 10:00. She slept on the way home and threw up her popsicle about 5 minutes from the house. She slept with her Mimi for a little while longer then asked for ice cream which she ate then promptly threw up. She is currently bouncing off the walls. The doctor and nurses all told me she would be irritable and sleepy all day. So far, not true. I've actually had to get on to her already because she's literally jumping around and running around the house and screaming when her brother pesters her. I know tomorrow is supposed to be much worse so I guess I'll enjoy today while I have it. Please pray for quick healing and no pain!
