We're making a big change in the Sorensen household. Nathan got a new job! He's extremely happy with his decision to leave "the coffee company." Nathan has been with "the coffee company" for over 8 years. He's been in too many different positions to count. They moved us from Austin to Houston and almost back again (I refused to go, liked my job too much). He gave it his all the entire time he worked there and was highly respected and admired. He was just ready to move on.
He will now be working for Environmental Data Resources as a Territory Sales Manager. EDR is based out of Connecticut but the job is here in Houston and all of Texas basically. He'll have to travel some but not enough to make me go crazy. He will be working from home (that makes me nervous seeing as how we only have 1,800 sq.ft. of home). He has to buy a vehicle (I have a frowny face on for that one). Did I mention he is HAPPY! It' all about happiness after all. If you dislike what you do then it's hard to get up at 4:30 am every morning to do it.
I'm proud of him. Even if I was extremely hesitant at first. I trust him and I believe in him and I know all will be just fine.
Fun Fact: I have been supported by the coffee industry almost my entire life. My dad started working for a company bought by "the coffee company" when I was as young as my kids are now. Then Nathan came along and got a job there and along the way I shifted from my parent's bank account to Nathan's!

Congratulations! You're right. Happiness is what it's all about. I hope it goes well. And, good luck with the working at home thing. I wasn't prepared with the fact that Jeremy would drink all my diet coke...that took some getting used to. ;)
