My Little Boy

Cole is growing up way too fast for my liking. He can now climb out of his crib, therefore a big boy bed is necessary. Nathan and I thought he would stay in that crib for at least another year or maybe even longer. Unfortunately he's a monkey and knows how to easily get out of the crib any time he wants. Putting him down for a nap in his crib was becoming impossible. I'd put him in and less than a minute later he'd join me in the living room. So we pulled Anna's old toddler bed out of the attic. Nathan wants to paint it but I think it will sell better if left alone so we are going to leave it "girly" for a few months then move Cole to his full size bed (his crib converts).

I was taking pictures of his room and realized that I don't think I've ever blogged about it. Nathan put a lot of effort into it so I really should have blogged about it before. When we found out we were having a boy when I was pregnant with Cole, Nathan kindly reminded me that I told him he could decorate a boy's room with a Texas A & M theme. I couldn't go back on my word so A & M it was. Here are some picts.

This is the toddler bed for now. You can see the crib to the side. We're going to leave it for the time being in case the toddle bed doesn't work out. So far so good though.

A close up of the jersey.

A former co-worker of mine made this for Cole. Maybe one day we'll have the real deal.

His bonfire tribute wall. Not a huge fan of it but it's a neat idea.

Nathan painted this on the wall. I think he did a really good job.
This post is sounding strangely familiar. Maybe I have blogged about it before. Oh well here it is again.

Boys do out grow their crib a lot faster than girls. It is their nature to climb, explore, and be dare-devils...I believe from birth. And it gets even more adventureous!!! I LOVE the Aggie room...I am a little biased being an Aggie. Gig 'em!!!

That is a very creative room theme. We have a baby gate in front of Mason's door because he likes to escape and knows how to get thru the child locks.
