A few firsts

We have a few Christmas related firsts!
1. We did something we never thought we would do. We put up our Christmas tree already. I have always thought putting up Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving was a huge no no and I still think it is but we did it anyway. Originally I only wanted Nathan to get the decorations out so I could see what I had because I wanted to do a different theme this year. Well once we pulled it all out we just kept right on going.
2. We put up two Christmas trees. Yes one before Thanksgiving was bad enough but two, what were we thinking?! One is my really nice tree I bought at the end of last season. It's prelit (totally recommend that). It was on sale for half off after Christmas last year. The second tree is our old fake tree. It's in the kids playroom with all the hodge podge oraments that I would never part with. Anna enjoyed decorating that one.
3. This is Cole's first Christmas! I'm happy he will be 10 1/2 months because that means he will be able to participate in opening presents and playing with his toys. I can't wait to watch him go crazy.
4. Anna actually wants to get her picture made with Santa. We were at the Galleria last week and Santa was there and she talked to him, shook his hand and told him she'd be back to take a picture. This is huge because she usually freaks out at the sight of Santa, the Easter Bunny & Mickey Mouse! People in costume aren't her favorite.
