The Weekend in Review

This past Saturday was a busy one. First Cole had soccer. He LOVES soccer. He isn't afraid to get in there and take the ball away and kick it all the way down the field. He gets so excited when he's running down the field. He always looks for Nathan and I to make sure we have the camera out and ready to snap his big moment.

After soccer we went to Fire Fest at one of our local fire stations. Several of the local VFDs get together and bring their trucks and equipment to put on display and let the kids check out. It was awesome and it was FREE!!! Seriously I would have paid to get in because Cole was so excited but the fact that I didn't have to was pretty cool. Anna & Cole got to get in the fire trucks and look around. They also got to watch Life Flight land. They got to get in the helicopter which they couldn't believe. They were a big ball of giddiness. They also got to shoot water out of a firehose. The only disappointment was they couldn't slide down the firepole. The inside wasn't open to the public. Below are some pictures we took.

After Fire Fest we headed back to the soccer fields for Anna. Poor child acts like she loves to play but we are slowly realizing it's just not for her. She hustles but she never touches the ball and if it accidentally hits her she freezes and refuses to kick it back. This is most likely going to be her last season to play. We've also realized she's not very competitive which is way weird to me so a sport like this just doesn't interest her. Oh well, she's looked cute as can be playing for the last 3 seasons.

After soccer we headed over to the Mannion's to watch the Aggies play the Red Raiders for the last time. Thankfully the Aggies won! SEC here we come. I'm not big on football but even I know we are most likely to get ran over by those SEC teams. Either way I like it. Maybe I'll be more into it when A & M is playing teams that my family cares about.

Sunday it rained ALL day. So we did nothing. Today the kids are out of school. I have Anna's parent teacher conference and we have our family pictures this afternoon with Deanna. Can't wait. Now to finish finding what we'll wear!

That looks like fun! My kids would have loved something like that.
