Birthday Party (#2)

Anna actually got two birthday parties this year. We usually have a pretty big turn out with just family and close friends. This year Anna started preschool which meant ALOT more people to add to the birthday party list. Her first choice was to have an ice cream sundae party at the ice cream shop. I knew that could get pricey so I decided we would do the usual birthday at home, then I would do the ice cream shop party for just a few of her close school friends. It worked perfectly.

We went to Kim's Creamery on West Rd. They had a party room, but honestly it was a little cramped so some people hung out in the main area. We were the only people there the whole time so it was actually pretty good. Each kid gets a bowl full of ice cream and unlimited toppings. Also each kid goes home with a giant bag full of candy. Talk about SUGAR COMA! I'm sure all the mom's of Anna's school friends were just loving me! The whole party was over and done in an hour and 15 minutes. Cole's sugar high lasted for several hours and his crash was awful but we all survived.

She was all smiles when the girl handed her the bowl of ice cream.

Anna picked out her own outfit for the party.

We played pin the cherry on the sundae.

Riley isn't a school friend but he's practically family. He always smiles so big for me!

Anna and some of her classmates (and a few siblings of classmates)

And because we didn't have enough sugar already I decided a cookie cake was necessary.
