We had a community wide garage sale yesterday. Nathan had to man the sale this time because I helped throw a baby shower for my friend Jaime. We got up super early to put everything out. The sale was supposed to start at 6:00. By 6:50 we still had not seen anyone so I told Nathan I was going to leave and head over to the shower location (it was a morning shower & we had to prepare for it). Apparently 5 minutes after I left two ladies with a big box truck drove up and literally bought all but 1 item and a big box of books. Nathan called me after they left and told me he sold everything to one (two) lady. I couldn't believe it. I was dying to know how much he sold it all for. Keep in mind I had probably $250 (garage sale dollars) worth of stuff out. He happily told me $85.
M: What? I think my phone cut out what did you say.
N: $85.
Silence.
M: OK. Did you pack everything up in the bags we had and keep my storage bins.
N: No I gave them a few of the storage bins
Silence
M: OK well good job. At least you didn't have to work all day.
N: Yeah & now I don't have to go to Goodwill.
Atleast this is how I remember the conversation. After rethinking my definition of success I would say he was successful. He reached our major goal which was to get rid of everything. Good job honey. Thanks for manning the garage sale & keeping the kids all day.
The kids & I left at 5:00 am (after the time change, 4:00 am according to my internal clock) this morning heading to Mississippi. I'm exhausted. We'll be here for the week. Hope everyone has a good week.

All I can say is... LOL.
It does help to not have to go to Goodwill though... we had to take a huge load there after our last g-sale.
All I can say is....MEN!
